Why I chose this industry,
At 24, I was diagnosed with psoriasis, and at one point, it nearly covered my entire face. It was an incredibly challenging time, and my confidence took a major hit. Makeup became more than just a routine—it was something I could lean on, a tool that helped me feel more like myself again. That experience sparked a passion in me to help others feel the same sense of confidence and comfort in their own skin.
I became a bridal makeup artist to enhance natural beauty in a way that feels authentic and empowering. Later, I pursued esthetics to dive deeper into skincare, helping others achieve healthy, radiant skin from the inside out. Whether through makeup or skincare, my goal is always to make my clients feel beautiful, confident, and truly themselves.

Hi, I’m Crystal, the face behind CDH Makeup Artistry & Esthetics! I’ve been a professional makeup artist since 2018, specializing in natural bridal makeup that enhances your unique features while making sure you feel comfortable and confident on your special day. Recently, I expanded my passion for beauty by earning my esthetician license from Aveda O’Briens Institute in Williston, VT, allowing me to help clients achieve glowing skin leading up to their big moments.
Born and raised in Vermont, I can’t imagine living anywhere else—I love the beauty of every season and the sense of community here. When I’m not perfecting complexions and creating timeless bridal looks, I’m embracing my creative side through photography, knitting, and writing. I’m also a mom to three amazing kids and a fluffy Ragdoll cat named Lakota, who may or may not think he runs the house. Oh, and you’ll almost always find me unwinding with a hot bath and a good thriller novel!

MEET ALYSSA,
Alyssa is a licensed esthetician and fellow skincare enthusiast who shares a deep passion for helping others feel their most confident and cared for. She and I first met in esthetics school, and her dedication to learning and growing in all things skincare has been inspiring ever since. Alyssa is always researching new ingredients, techniques, and ways to elevate the client experience — she truly lives and breathes skincare.
Beyond the treatment room, Alyssa loves collecting vintage clothing and antique jewelry, and staying active. Her calm, kind energy and love for timeless beauty shine through in everything she does.
On wedding days, Alyssa is my right-hand skincare assistant, offering luxurious prep services for the bridal party — including hydrating sheet masks, soothing facial massages, jade rolling, eye and lip treatments, and even a relaxing hand massage. She also helps with setup, pack-up, and making sure every bridal party member feels comfortable and cared for (think water, snacks, and a little extra pampering).
Her attention to detail and gentle touch make her a perfect addition to your wedding morning, ensuring everyone feels refreshed, glowing, and ready for their special day.
